Milton Keynes Woodland
There are several woodland areas managed by the Parks Trust in Milton Keynes. My most visited is Howe Park Wood, which is a 21.4 hectare 'Site of Special Scientific Interest'. It boasts an impressive list of breeding birds, some of which I have had the pleasure of seeing. While exploring, I discovered nests that include the Great Spotted Woodpecker, Blue Tit and Great Tit. I'm still attempting to expand my portfolio to include more of the array of species they have in the wood. In the meantime, it's a pleasure to walk through listening to the many sounds above.
Milton Keynes Lakes
MK has several lakes that are great for wildlife. My favourites are Caldecotte and Furzton as I've captured some of my favourite images here. Furzton Lake is especially packed with wildlife for such a small area. I visit the lakes all year round but you can't beat spring time, when the baby birds are being born. The ducklings and goslings are extremely cute and I am very happy with the images I have captured of them.
